• Conduct thorough assessments, including psychological evaluations, to determine clients’ needs and formulate effective treatment strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions with adult clients, applying evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide therapeutic conversations.

As a mental health counselor at Midwest Behavioral Clinic, you will work with a diverse adult client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our commitment is to support every individual’s unique journey, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

• Possess a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a mental health setting, demonstrating a robust understanding of therapeutic practices and frameworks.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
• Demonstrate an empathetic and non-judgmental attitude, enabling clients to feel valued and understood throughout their healing processes.
• Possess strong organizational skills that facilitate effective case management and timely completion of administrative tasks.
