Description

The Strategic Account Coordinator serves as a key liaison between customers and Polygon's internal teams. This role is responsible for building strong, trust-based relationships with customers, gaining deep insight into their operations, and proactively identifying opportunities where Polygon's composite technologies can add value. The coordinator facilitates Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), monitors customer scorecards, maintains customer portals, serves as the CRM administrator and ensures the delivery of timely, effective technical solutions. By combining customer engagement, technical expertise, and commercial awareness, the Technical Solutions Specialist plays a critical role in positioning Polygon as a provider of solutions versus commodities. 

Requirements


Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Serve as the primary support point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Develop strong relationships across multiple customer levels (technical, operational, and leadership).
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align performance, strategy, and future opportunities.
  • Monitor and maintain customer scorecards, ensuring proactive communication on key performance indicators.
  • Maintain and update customer portals with current documentation, performance metrics, and key communications.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Engineering to translate customer needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Gather and document customer insights and feedback to inform new product or application opportunities.
  • Provide technical input during quoting, proposal development, and launch activities.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on understanding of customer challenges and operations.
  • Support resolution of technical issues, working cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
  • Maintain effective use of the CRM through support to the sales team and administration.
  • Contribute to solution libraries, best practices, and internal training resources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Training

  •  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Combination of education and experience may be considered. 


Knowledge & Experience  

  • Strong understanding of material science, composites, or engineered materials.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Applications Engineering, Technical Sales, or Solutions Support.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, testing methods, and product validation practices.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven customer management preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD or modeling tools is a plus.
