Job Description

Senior Product Manager - Inventory Salesforce

The Senior Product Manager owns the strategy, vision, roadmap, and full lifecycle of Salesforce products and capabilities that solve complex CRM challenges for the Inventory Sales organization. This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Operations, Technology, Analytics, and Client-Facing Teams to identify business challenges, define product strategy, prioritize investments, and deliver scalable CRM solutions that improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, account planning, contact management, opportunity management, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines deep product management expertise with a strong understanding of Salesforce platforms, CRM strategy, B2B sales processes, and customer relationship management. This leader must be capable of translating complex business needs into product strategies, influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and leading cross-functional teams through discovery, delivery, adoption, and continuous optimization.

Preferred candidates will bring a strong background in Salesforce Product Management, CRM strategy, and sales process optimization, with experience supporting account planning, opportunity management, pipeline visibility, forecasting, customer engagement, and sales operations. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable solutions and drive alignment across Sales, Operations, Product, and Technology teams. Experience leveraging AI-driven design, generative AI, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and data-informed product development practices to improve user experiences, sales effectiveness, and operational efficiency is highly desired.

The Senior Product Manager is accountable for translating customer and business needs into product outcomes, leading initiatives from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization, while ensuring measurable value for both clients and Cox Automotive.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including customer discovery, market research, strategy development, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, delivery, launch, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement.

  • Define and execute product strategies for Salesforce capabilities supporting account planning, contact management, lead management, opportunity management, sales workflows, customer engagement, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and client engagement.

  • Partner with Inventory Sales leaders, frontline users, and business stakeholders to identify CRM challenges and opportunities that improve sales productivity, customer outcomes, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop a deep understanding of sales processes, customer journeys, and CRM best practices to ensure solutions align with business objectives and user needs.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through product discovery, solution design, Agile delivery, launch readiness, change management, and post-launch optimization.

  • Translate customer feedback, business objectives, quantitative data, and market insights into actionable product requirements and measurable outcomes.

  • Use customer research, business value assessment, product performance data, and stakeholder feedback to drive prioritization and investment decisions.

  • Establish product success metrics and leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve product adoption, customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.

  • Influence stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Technology, and Executive Leadership teams to align priorities, communicate strategy, drive decision-making, and achieve measurable business outcomes.

  • Champion user-centered design principles and continuously seek opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce friction, and improve the overall user experience.

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, automation, predictive insights, and intelligent workflow capabilities to enhance sales effectiveness, employee productivity, and customer experiences.

Required Experience

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field.

  • Availability for rotational on-call duties outside of standard business hours may be required.

  • Experience owning and delivering software products through the full product lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through implementation and optimization.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platforms, CRM strategy, customer engagement solutions, and sales processes.

  • Experience supporting sales organizations and delivering technology solutions that improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and operational performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges into product strategies, roadmaps, and scalable technology solutions.

  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders and coordinating priorities across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence audiences ranging from frontline users to executive leadership.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive product decisions and measure outcomes.

  • Experience working within Agile product delivery environments and collaborating with engineering, architecture, UX, analytics, and operational teams.

  • Availability for rotational on-call duties outside of standard business hours may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Nice to Have

  • Experience serving as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Salesforce Product Lead, or similar role supporting CRM-driven business functions.

  • Salesforce platform experience, including Sales Cloud and related CRM capabilities.

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar credentials.

  • Experience supporting B2B sales organizations, account management teams, customer success organizations, or other revenue-generating business functions.

  • Knowledge of customer lifecycle management, account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, territory management, and sales operations practices.

  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, machine learning, workflow automation, digital assistants, predictive analytics, or intelligent recommendations to improve business outcomes and user experiences.

  • Experience driving digital transformation, technology modernization, and user adoption initiatives across large organizations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of Salesforce expertise, product management discipline, sales process knowledge, and strong communication skills. They are comfortable engaging directly with sales leaders and frontline users, translating business needs into scalable CRM solutions, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. They possess a passion for innovation, embrace emerging AI capabilities, and consistently seek opportunities to simplify processes, improve productivity, and deliver measurable business value through technology.
