Job Summaryย 

The Analyst, Strategy & Planningย roleย is critical in supporting Urban Grid's growth by deliveringย accurateย corporate reporting, insightful management presentations, andย criticalย cross-functionalย projects. In this role, the Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning, and interface directly with senior leadership, translate complex data into clear insights, and enable decisions that advance the company's performanceย and protect project valueย across development, construction, and operations.ย 

Responsibilities

Corporate Reporting & Insightsย 

  • Prepareย regularย reports covering development pipeline, project milestones,ย andย capital deploymentย 
  • Maintain dashboards and KPIs,ย ensuring accuracy and consistency.ย 
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality and cycle time through automation and process enhancements.ย 
  • Standardize workflows, templates, and documentation practices to ensure consistency in tracking.ย 
  • Identifyย gaps in current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce compliance risk.ย 
  • Stay informed on evolving IRS guidance, regulatory updates, and industry best practices related to renewable energy tax credits.ย 

Management Presentations & Executive Interfaceย 

  • Build executive-ready materials for senior management and the Board (e.g., portfolio updates, market outlooks, investment committee memos, strategic reviews).ย ย 
  • Distill complex analysis into concise narratives, visualizations, and recommendations; present findings in leadership meetings and cross-functional forums.ย 
  • Coordinateย inputsย across Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), Operations,ย Financeย and Commercialย groupsย

Cross-Functionalย Coordinationย ย 

  • Work directly with the Procurementย departmentย to track major equipment orders (e.g., solar modules, turbines, inverters, transformers)ย ย 
  • Monitor contract execution, deposits, and delivery schedules tied toย projectย tax credit eligibilityย ย 
  • Maintain a centralized viewย for the Development organizationย of equipment allocation and supporting compliance documentationย 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related fieldย 
  • 2+ย years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, tax, project finance, consulting, or a related fieldย 
  • Foundational knowledge ofย U.S. renewable energy tax credit frameworks (ITC/PTC) and safe harbor conceptsย 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skillsย 
  • Advancedย proficiencyย in Excelย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a complex project portfolioย 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teamsย 
  • Experience supporting utility-scale solar, wind, or storage projectsย preferred
  • Exposure to construction or project development lifecycle phasesย preferred
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)ย preferred
  • Location: Hybrid in Houston, Texas (4 days in office, Fridays remote).
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship or transfer visas, including H-1B or L-2, are not available for this position.
