Position Summary

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and support custom software solutions that improve business operations and drive organizational growth. This role will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, working on both front-end and back-end systems while collaborating with stakeholders and senior technical leaders to deliver high-quality applications. The ideal candidate has experience building modern web applications, enjoys solving business problems through technology, and embraces emerging agentic AI tools and methodologies to improve development efficiency and software quality. This is a remote role in a distributed workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Software Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom software solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to both front-end and back-end application development using modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and collaborate with senior developers on architecture decisions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations, APIs, and data workflows that support business processes and system interoperability.

AI-Accelerated Development

  • Utilize agentic AI tools and methodologies to accelerate development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency through AI-assisted coding and automation.
  • Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications where appropriate.

Application Maintenance & Enhancement

  • Enhance, maintain, and support the organization's custom software applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve application defects and performance issues, using logs, query plans, and browser tooling to find root causes rather than symptoms.
  • Participate in ongoing modernization and optimization initiatives across the application portfolio.
  • Write code and documentation that the next developer — including future you — can pick up without an explanation.

Quality & Best Practices

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Follow established development standards, security practices, and deployment procedures. Our data includes employee PII; handling it carefully is essential.
  • Support efforts to improve application scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 3+ years building full-stack web applications professionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Front-end experience with a modern component framework and TypeScript. Our stack is Vue 3, TypeScript, and PrimeVue; solid React or Angular experience transfers well and we expect a ramp-up period.
  • Back-end experience in a typed, server-side language and framework. Ours is ASP.NET Core 8 / C# with Entity Framework Core; equivalent Java, Node/TypeScript, or Go experience is welcome.
  • Working proficiency in SQL — you can write and read non-trivial queries and reason about why one is slow.
  • Comfort with Git-based source control, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the judgment to ask a clarifying question before building the wrong thing.

Preferred

  • Experience with our specific stack: Vue 3, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQL Server, Azure DevOps.
  • Microsoft Entra ID / MSAL authentication, or Microsoft Graph.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar).
  • Azure or another major cloud platform; Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Automated testing and DevOps practices.
  • Experience supporting business-critical line-of-business applications where downtime is visible to real users.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This is a remote-first role with occasional travel for meetings, training, or industry events.
  • Regular virtual collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Frequent computer-based tasks, including data analysis and report generation.
WHY JOIN US?
  • Be part of a forward-thinking company in a rapidly growing PEO sector.
  • Opportunity to influence strategy and shape operations at an enterprise level.
  • Work with a company positioned to be the leading provider of PEO services in the U.S.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, with opportunities to lead thought leadership initiatives.
