What is remote underground diamond drilling?

Remote underground diamond drilling is a specialized mining technique where diamond-tipped drill bits are used to extract core samples from deep beneath the earth’s surface. This process is performed in underground mines and utilizes remote-controlled or automated equipment to enhance safety and efficiency. Operators can control the drilling equipment from a safe distance, reducing exposure to hazardous underground conditions. The core samples obtained are valuable for geological analysis and resource estimation. This method is widely used in exploration for minerals such as gold, copper, and, of course, diamonds.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote underground diamond driller?

To thrive as a Remote Underground Diamond Driller, you need mechanical aptitude, experience in drilling operations, and relevant safety certifications such as First Aid and Working at Heights.
