Job description

Job Summary: 

The primary focus of this role will be indexing & verifying documents for various customer accounts, ensuring that all documents are processed on time and meet the highest quality standards. Prerequisites required for this role are an existing knowledge of land records, proofreading skills to interpret legal documents and extract the pertinent info, attention to detail, fast typing skills, as well as computer competency. This is a fully remote position with a reasonable amount of flexibility in terms of scheduling. From time to time, you may be asked to help support other projects if indexing work is completed, these other tasks include things like document QC and image tagging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Index or verify documents efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Switch between various customer contracts without getting the guidelines mixed up- each customer account is unique.
  • Work closely with your team lead or manager to ensure timely execution and completion of assigned tasks, asking questions and seeking guidance as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 

  • On-Time Completion: Complete 100% of indexing projects within the agreed timelines, maintaining a doc/hr quota.
  • Quality of Work: Ensure typed data meets company standards with less than a 2% error rate in document indexing/verification.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve positive customer feedback and correct any indexing errors relayed from our customers.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain 100% accuracy in any reporting or logs of work completed.


Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years' experience indexing land records or comparable skillset required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong ability to use computers and learn new software and interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of land records and how to interpret legal documents for indexing.
  • Strong written communication and ability to collaborate with a remote team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and think critically to solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Basic understanding of digital imaging concepts preferred (file types, resolution, aspect ratio, etc.).


 Work Environment: 

  • The role is fully remote, and you are responsible for maintaining a proper workspace free from distraction and with access to high-speed internet.
  • Occasional video or audio calls will be required, but most of your communication with leads and teammates will be via email.


 
Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
  • Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines.
  • Occasional movement around the office.
  • Frequent communication via telephone or video
