Description
This position provides advanced administrative and governance support to the Executive Department and General Counsel, with primary responsibility for Board of Trustees governance logistics and compliance. In addition to core administrative duties, this position ensures the effective coordination, documentation, and execution of Board-related activities, supporting organizational transparency and adherence to statutory requirements.
Essential Functions
Required Responsibilities*
  • Leads the coordination and execution of meetings and special events, including full logistical planning and on-site support.
  • Prepares, reviews, and distributes Board meeting minutes in collaboration with the Executive Department and General Counsel; ensures timely posting and record retention in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Prepares and files Board Agenda Notices in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partners with General Counsel to manage Board elections, including oversight of election materials, processes, and official records.
  • Maintains and continuously improves the Board Member Handbook and ensures accessibility through the Board portal.
  • Serves as the primary administrator of Board governance records, maintaining organized, compliant, and accessible documentation archives.
  • Provides guidance and training to internal staff on Board governance processes, procedures, and compliance expectations.
  • Supports Executive leadership in governance planning, Board engagement, and strategic meeting alignment.
  • Records and maintains official minutes and records for the Political Subdivision Workers' Compensation Alliance (The Alliance).
  • Provides high-level administrative support to the General Counsel and Executive team, including sensitive and confidential matters.
