Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to provide support to the EHSS IT Support contract located in Germantown, Maryland. The talented, professional Software Engineer will join a proficient development team developing and enhancing web applications. This position is working in a remote environment. US citizeship required and must be able to obtain a Department of Energy Q clearance.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Refining requirements to translate them into functional specs.
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, secure, and reliable code.
  • Develop effective solutions for data mapping and data translation.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Develop unit tests.
  • Participate in peer code review and code refactoring as part of development process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the technical lead for a development project.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce technical and end user documentation.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is REQUIRED.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret or Q clearance or be able to obtain.
  • BS degree in software/technical based field with at least 2 years of progressive software experience focused on data-oriented business applications, or a minimum of 5 years of progressive software development experience with no degree.
  • Solid understanding with the ASP.NET framework, MVC, C#, SQL Server, Oracle and design/architectural patterns.
  • Experience with Microservice Architecture.
  • Experience in Frontend frameworks like Angular or React or Aurelia.
  • Experience with HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/jQuery.
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Typescript, Node.js, NPM, RXJS.
  • Strong experience with C#, Visual Studio (2019 +), and MS toolsets.
  • Experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or higher.
  • Experience creating web services from scratch and writing Web APIs.
  • Experience with Git based source control.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent English-language oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with DevOps disciplines and toolsets.
  • Experience with Test Automation Frameworks

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
