Job description

Title: Application Developer I Job Type: W2 Contract Contract Length: 1 year Pay Range: $55–60/hr Start Date: ASAP Location: Remote (EST) About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in Enterprise Technology Solutions, is looking for a skilled Application Developer I to join their team for a 1-year engagement. This project involves the full software development lifecycle—designing, coding, testing, and supporting applications—with a heavy emphasis on system reliability and production issue resolution. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‐motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Design, code, test, debug, and document programs based on technical configurations, ensuring resulting systems operate efficiently and reliably. Provide production escalation management, troubleshooting, and detailed log/trace analysis to support, update, and maintain existing systems. Develop program designs that meet technical configurations and integrate seamlessly with other related systems.

Coordinate with project teams and business stakeholders to define application requirements, identify business needs, and present appropriate technology solutions. Estimate and track the time required to complete development work for project budgeting and financial tracking. Partner with end-users to provide a high level of customer service in the resolution of problems or in the deployment of new applications.

Required Skills & Experience Deep expertise in SQL Proficiencyand familiarity with relational databases. Proven ability in production escalation managementand complex log/trace analysis. Strong communication skills,both verbal and written, including the ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences.

Understanding of procedural and object-oriented design principles. Experience with application development processes and coding in appropriate languages such as Java, Visual Basic, and/or other object-oriented and procedural programming languages. Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service, and business relationship-building skills required for success.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams. Experience with project management skills. Preferred Experience Cloud platform familiarity (AWS and/or GCP).

Experience with Java or JavaScript/TypeScript development. Familiarity with Agile methodology and Atlassian tooling (Jira/Confluence). W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors) #J-18808-Ljbffr
