What is remote TV film production?

Remote TV film production refers to the process of creating television and film content with crew members working from different locations, rather than on a centralized set. This approach often utilizes digital tools, cloud-based collaboration, and virtual communication to coordinate tasks such as directing, editing, and reviewing footage. Remote production has become more common due to advances in technology and the need for flexible, safe working environments. It allows for greater access to talent worldwide and can reduce travel costs, but also requires strong project management and reliable internet connectivity.

How does collaboration typically work in a remote TV film production team?

In remote TV and film production, collaboration relies heavily on digital tools and clear communication. Teams use project management software, video conferencing, and file-sharing platforms to keep everyone connected and on track. Regular check-ins, clear documentation, and defined roles are crucial to ensure that creative ideas are shared and production timelines stay on schedule. While remote work can reduce in-person spontaneity, it often encourages more structured and deliberate collaboration across different time zones and locations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote TV film production?

To thrive in Remote TV/Film Production, you need strong project management, audiovisual production knowledge, and experience with industry-standard workflows, often supported by a relevant degree or significant field experience. Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (such as Zoom, Slack, and Frame.io), non-linear editing systems (like Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid), and cloud-based file sharing is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and adaptability are critical soft skills for coordinating dispersed teams and handling rapidly changing production needs. These competencies ensure smooth, high-quality productions despite geographic separation and technical challenges.

Job description

About Us:
Wrapbook is the AI platform for production finance. We're building a system of action that puts finance teams in control of their whole production, from payroll, to spend, to accounting.
Built for feature films, TV, and commercials, Wrapbook is trusted by teams at Netflix, Paramount, Anonymous Content, and more. With backing from Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Jeffrey Katzenberg's WndrCo, our team of 350+ is using AI to transform how finance teams work and empower them to do more with less.
The Opportunity - Mid-Market Account Executive, Film & Television (Remote - USA)
As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you'll play a critical role in expanding Wrapbook's footprint across mid-market film and TV production companies, selling into accounts typically ranging from $70K-$200K ARR, with 3-12 month sales cycles.
You'll own a focused set of high-potential accounts, working closely cross functionally with Demand Gen to execute highly personalized, creative outbound strategies and close new business. We operate fast, think differently, and expect every team member to contribute ideas and drive results. If you're organized, collaborative, energized by film and TV production, and want to be part of a tight team doing some of the most thoughtful sales work in the industry, this is your role.
What You'll Do:
  • Own a small book of targeted Mid-Market accounts and drive full-cycle sales efforts from prospecting through close.
  • Execute highly customized outreach strategies using creative tactics - not templated sequences. Every prospect should feel like they're your only prospect.
  • Partner closely with the Demand Generation Manager to align on messaging, campaigns, events, and programs that will drive pipeline and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Engage prospects through multichannel outreach, onsite meetings, demos, and attendance at key industry events in Los Angeles and New York.
  • Build strong relationships with production company decision makers by demonstrating a deep understanding of their workflows, challenges, and business goals.
  • Manage complex deal cycles efficiently, with clear documentation of next steps, risks, and paths to close.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets consistently, with strong pipeline discipline and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and RevOps to ensure a seamless customer experience and surface field insights.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and emerging needs within the entertainment production space.
  • Use AI tools to speed up account research, personalize outreach at scale, and keep pipeline and CRM hygiene sharp.

What You'll Have:
  • Entertainment industry expertise - you've sold for another entertainment payroll or production finance provider, or you've worked in production/production finance and know these workflows firsthand.
  • Ability to navigate 3-12 month sales cycles with multiple stakeholders while maintaining momentum and creativity throughout.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to personalize outreach at scale without sacrificing quality.
  • A self-starter mindset - you operate with ownership, urgency, and a sense of pride in your work.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to test new tactics, take calculated risks, and learn from what works.
  • Fluent with AI tools in your day-to-day sales workflow - from account research and outreach personalization to call prep and pipeline management.
  • High organizational rigor; you stay on top of your pipeline, your tasks, and your customer communications without needing hand-holding.
  • Strong team player mentality - you value transparency, collaboration, and lifting others up as much as winning deals.
  • Enthusiasm for the entertainment industry and a genuine interest in helping productions operate better and smarter.

Why Join Us
At Wrapbook, creativity meets technology - and not just in the product.
In addition to a competitive salary and all the benefits you can expect from a fast-growing technology company, you'll get access to a team of creative problem solvers and the chance to see your contributions make large impacts. Benefits include:
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Work from anywhere in Canada and USA
  • Health and Dental benefits
  • Up to $1,500 USD/ $2,025 CAD towards IT set up for your home
  • Up to 2% matching RRSP / 401K
  • Learning and Development opportunities
  • Up to $50 USD/ $67.50 CAD towards Internet/Cell phone service
