Summary
You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL MECHANICAL INSPECTOR (SHIPS) in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Division, Code 133 of PSNS and IMF.

Duties
Help

• You will ensure the appropriate grade cleanliness (Oxygen, Steam Plant, etc.) is maintained in accordance with local directives as required by NAVSEA specifications for plant component cleanliness.
• You will maintain records of inspections performed, results of these inspections and corrective action taken in accordance with local directives.
• You will ensure that during the performance of the preceding duties, due consideration is given to the safety of ships, equipment, and personnel.
• You will ensuring the correct materials are installed, and enough flexibility and strength are there to compensate for the movement of the hull during depth changes.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
