Job description

About The Role:

Little Spoon was founded on the belief that today's parents are different - equal parts more time-strapped and more food-savvy than ever. We set out to disrupt a century-old category with products and an experience that delivers on what the modern parent deserves. And we're at a very exciting growth stage- we're the #1 DTC baby and kids food brand in the US, and recently made a big foray into retail (nationwide at Target)!

We're looking for a Social Content Specialist who is deeply online in the right ways and who understands parenting and food culture. You know what hooks people, you're aware of niche trends before they go wide, and you have the taste level to make content that feels considered and platform-native.

This role is creator forward. You're comfortable on camera, have an eye for design, and bring a Little Spoon point of view to everything you make.

You're collaborative by nature and not shy about pitching a concept or building relationships across teams. This is a highly visible role on a fast-moving team, and it's the right fit for someone who is as genuinely interested in being part of a team as they are in making great content.

This role reports into the Associate Director, Social, and is based hybrid out of our Soho office in NYC.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and execute original, brand-aligned content concepts that push culture forward and reflect the Little Spoon point of view for organic and paid social.
  • Film social-first video content in our office, kitchen, and on-location throughout NYC. Capturing mealtime moments, product stories, and the everyday reality of feeding kids.
  • Edit short-form video with a strong sense of platform fluency across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, Youtube Shorts, Pinterest, and other emerging social platforms.
  • Produce creator-style, UGC-inspired content that feels native to the platform.
  • Collaborate with the team to support planned content briefs as well as real-time proactive opportunities.
  • Deliver fast, polished edits with multiple versions for testing and optimization as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing, influencer, PR, creative teams across the business.
  • Develop and manage content calendar for all social platforms as well as UGC content program
  • Stay on the pulse of trends, tools, and insights that help us innovate.
  • Measure and report performance, sharing wins and learnings.
  • Collaborate across teams to bring our mission to life.
What You'll Bring:
  • A strategic and creative mindset with a knack for brand storytelling.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment.
  • Curiosity and comfort experimenting with modern AI tools.
What You'll Need:
  • 2+ years of experience in social content creation, video production, or a related role. Ideally in-house at a consumer brand.
  • A strong portfolio of short-form video content across TikTok and/or Instagram Reels, with a clear point of view
  • Fluency in video editing tools; comfortable shooting on iPhone and/or camera.
  • Genuine affinity for the parenting space and an understanding of what resonates with millennial and Gen Z parents.
  • Instinct for storytelling - you can take a simple product or ingredient and make it feel compelling and worth sharing.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects at once.
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Confidence working with teams across time zones (our team is remote-friendly and NYC-based!) This role is required to be based in NYC and hybrid out of our Soho office.
  • Flexibility to attend events and activities outside of standard working hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the role.
