Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and work-life balance. Our operational hours extend from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, accommodating a diverse range of clients. The clinical team ensures that counselors have full caseloads established typically within the first 90 days post-credentialing. We provide robust administrative support, guaranteeing that you can focus on your clients without being burdened by scheduling and service inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and identify appropriate treatment strategies.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies tailored to each client’s unique experiences.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) within both individual and group settings.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to aid clients in processing trauma, fostering self-awareness, and promoting healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care for all patients.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to help stabilize clients in distress.
• Provide essential education to patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources within the community.
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills in trauma-informed care.
• Stay updated with the latest research, policy developments, and best practices in trauma therapy, contributing to the organization’s knowledge base.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is essential.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois is required.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a robust knowledge of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated self-guided determination to complete documentation and case management within allocated timelines.

Compensation and Benefits
