Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Conscious Therapy & Psychiatric Center, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current challenges.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and building resilience strategies.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and enhancing overall well-being.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure seamless and integrated patient care.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring critical and compassionate care.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and access to community resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engaging in case consultations and team meetings to foster a culture of learning and professional development within the practice.
  • Staying informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice engages a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. We emphasize accessibility to care and promote healing through tailored interventions. Our clients often seek support in navigating trauma responses, and as a counselor, you will play a key role in guiding them on their path to recovery.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid LPC license in the state of Texas.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, accompanied by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
Preferred Experience

  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
