This position operates in a remote capacity, providing flexibility while still ensuring a strong connection with our clients. As a part of our community health clinic network, therapists work collaboratively with other professionals, participating in regular team meetings and case consultations to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Although remote, our flexible scheduling accommodates patient needs while promoting effective boundaries to support therapist well-being.

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather insights into patients’ trauma histories and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions centered on trauma recovery and resilience-building methodologies.
• Utilize evidence-based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention services, guiding patients and families through trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their immediate and ongoing safety.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to support their healing process.
• Diligently maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma-informed care.

The primary clientele served by our clinic includes individuals who have experienced traumatic events, particularly those coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We cater to diverse populations, emphasizing a culturally competent approach tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. Understanding the impact of trauma on mental health is vital to providing effective, sensitive care that encourages a safe healing environment.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer applications essential for maintaining documentation.

While two years of post-licensure experience is required, a background in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is preferred. Candidates with experience in a multidisciplinary team environment, particularly focusing on trauma-informed care, will find our organization a great fit.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
