Staff Software Engineer

CloudBolt Software is helping enterprises control infrastructure chaos through cloud automation and cost optimization. We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to build the next generation of Kubernetes optimization products used across some of the largest Kubernetes estates across key industry verticals.

In this role, you'll take ideas from concept to production, influence architecture decisions, and help define Kubernetes best practices across the engineering organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate Go-lang services running inside customer Kubernetes clusters, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and security
  • Architect scalable, production grade systems aligned with modern Kubernetes and cloud native best practices
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Kubernetes within the engineering team, influencing standards and design decisions
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, machine learning, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end customer value
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical governance
  • Continuously improve system performance, resiliency, and developer experience
  • Learn and apply new technologies to advance both product capabilities and personal growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in Go-lang.
  • Proficient in modern application best practices for development and architecture design.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization.
  • Proven ability to contribute quality application code.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new skills or technologies.
  • Must have strong communication and collaboration skills with remote team members.
  • Active CKA certification preferred

Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000 USD Annually, actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
