Joint Strategic Planner
The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique skill set inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to help solve some of our clients' most complex problems-and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As a Joint Strategic Planner, you'll bring your national security subject matter expertise to help articulate strategic risk to senior leaders in the Department of War and to Congress. You'll use your skills as you collaborate with senior military officers to lead Operational Planning Teams across the Joint Staff, Service Staffs, and Combatant Commands, conduct research and analysis, and prepare read ahead materials for General/Flag officers. This position requires access to restricted facilities and is conducted on-site.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy or planning within the Department of War
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting the Joint Staff, Service Staff, Combatant Staff, members of Congress, or at a think-tank
  • Experience conducting risk analysis
  • Knowledge of the Department of War strategy and risk documents and processes
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in National Security Affairs, Security Studies, or comparable field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
