MDW Associates is seeking a Power Apps Software Developer to support the modernization, development, and sustainment of NASA's enterprise Power Platform, Power Apps solutions, and automation services. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing secure, scalable applications that advance digital transformation across the Agency. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on developer with experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI, and thrives in collaborative, highly regulated enterprise environments.This position is fully remote.The Power Apps Software Developer may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:Design, build, and enhance applications using Power Apps (canvas & model-driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and Copilot Studio.Translate business requirements into application designs, technical specifications, PDDs, and JIRA work items.Develop robust data models, Power Query logic, DAX calculations, RLS, and optimized Dataverse schemas to meet performance and security requirements.Implement application lifecycle management (ALM) using managed solutions, pipelines, deployment planning, environment strategies, and rollback procedures.Collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine requirements, validate designs, support UAT, coordinate releases, and manage delivery timelines.Apply NEAS governance standards when developing solutions, including connector rules, DLP policies, workspace best practices, and secure integration patterns.Perform solution testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, diagnostics, and issue resolution across Dev/Test/Prod environments.Document solution architectures, configuration decisions, testing results, deployment steps, and operational procedures.Partner with platform administrators to ensure reliable service operations, strong security posture, and consistent application performance.Contribute to Communities of Practice by creating best‑practice guides, training materials, and reusable components.Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and knowledge-sharing to teammates and junior developers.Required Experience/Skills:2-5 Years of Hands-on development experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related Power Platform technologies.Experience implementing enterprise-grade Power Platform solutions under governance and security controls.Strong Power BI development and modeling skills (DAX, Power Query, RLS).Experience with Power Platform administration concepts such as NAMS roles, DLP policies, connector governance, gateways, and managed environments.Experience with ALM processes using solutions and pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod).Familiarity with Entra ID authentication, SSP documentation, ExpressRoute posture, and change-control processes.Ability to gather requirements, develop PDDs, document technical needs, and manage tasks in JIRA.Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
