Job description

The position of fraud prevention advisor with the Desjardins Group Security Office involves more than working in a call centre. You actively help to protect thousands of members and clients, making a real, positive impact. As a fraud prevention advisor, you play a key role in preventing fraud by taking the necessary steps to detect and combat suspicious activities, while minimizing financial losses. You ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization's standards and procedures. Interpersonal savvy is essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Collect, compile and analyze the type and nature of suspicious transactions

  • Advise members and clients who are victims of fraud on preventive measures

  • Establish an advisory relationship by identifying current and potential needs

  • Identify operational risks and continuously help improve the Desjardins Group Security Office's activities

  • Assist and support members and clients who are victims of various scams, ensuring they are satisfied with the support received and have an understanding of fraud.

What you bring to the table

  • General college diploma in a related field

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Available to come to the office occasionally during training and once a month afterwards. Location: 450 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W., Montreal

  • Available to work Monday to Sunday between 7:00a.m. and midnight
