Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote counseling sessions with clients through secure telehealth platforms, ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity.
• Assess individual mental health needs and collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique challenges.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to clients facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record systems effectively.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care and to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling through continued education and professional literature.
• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to share insights, discuss cases, and support one another's professional growth.
• Exhibit empathy, active listening, and cultural competence in all client interactions, adapting strategies to address diverse client backgrounds and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Remote Licensed Professional Counselor at Comfort Keepers, you will serve a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your work will address a wide array of issues—ranging from the everyday stressors of life to significant mental health disorders—ensuring that each client receives customized support tailored to their specific experiences and needs. Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A Master’s degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ethical and legal standards governing counseling practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to form meaningful connections with clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective client interactions.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection and a secure private workspace to conduct sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth counseling, including familiarity with teletherapy tools and platforms.
• A background in group therapy facilitation or specialized therapy techniques relevant to diverse populations.
• Previous experience working with clients experiencing trauma, addiction, or chronic mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
