An ideal candidate in this role will bridge the gap between Product Owners from the lines of business and Delivery Team implementing the technical solution. You will be working closely with the product owners to understand business roadmap and features that the product owners are thinking about incorporating into the product. Understanding of those concepts and translating the features to the technical team is a critical part of the job responsibility. You will be closely working with the product owners, scrum master and the technical leads / architects on the project to groom the features and translate them into well-defined and scoped user stories before the stories are considered for sprint planning.

Job Description

Provide full life cycle development with JAVA technology.

Understand coding standards and implement them within code being developed.

Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.

Communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements.

Should have ability to lead team and project and deliver on timely manner.

Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently.

Willing to learn and adopted new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project.

Capability to be design solutions for complex projects.

This position will also requires coordination with the customer to review software application requirements and provide/propose technical solutions and architectural design for enhancements.

NOTE:  This position is available for FT Direct Hire, C2H and C2C employment.

NOTE: This position is located in Arlington, VA. The possibility to work remote 2 days/week may become available, depending on candidate performance.

NOTE: This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/Information Technology or related Field. 
• 7-9 years of Java/J2EE experience.
• Knowledge of: JAVA, J2EE, SWT, ANT HTML, JavaScript and JQuery. 
• Knowledge of: JBoss Application Server, Apache. 
• Knowledge of: Hibernate or Struts or Spring framework.
• Knowledge of: Datastrutures, Algorithms, OBDC, JBDC Drivers. 
• Knowledge of: Cloud implementation is required and experience in AWS technology will be an added advantage. 
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

• SVN, CVS as Configuration Management Tool. 
• AWS Cloud Services and DevOps is a plus.
