BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop, manage and maintain corporate relationships and contract oversight with established government customers within the assigned program(s). Responsible for growing sales and profit at all existing and new customers.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop enterprise and account level strategies for profitable sales growth within the assigned program(s).
  • Identifies and prioritizes, with the assistance of various functional areas, opportunities for improvement within the assigned program(s).
  • Manages the development of solutions and processes to existing problems and looks towards the future to anticipate potential problems within the assigned program(s).
  • Prepares and assembles RFQ proposals that address the customer's needs within established and new customers.
  • Develops and fosters a team environment for all project members.
  • Interprets sales goals and initiatives so that priorities and timelines can be established in a cost-effective manner.
  • Manages implementation and evaluates progress of key projects within the assigned program(s).
  • Participates in management meetings and provides input for all government projects under discussion.
  • Develops training and collateral material as applicable for the assigned program(s).
  • Manages successful utilization of the assigned program with the assistance of the field.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of seven years of business experience is required
  • Direct strategic selling experience with the Federal Government Community
  • Demonstrable familiarity with the Government Contractors and GSA.
  • Familiarity with the procurement process, specifically on major Federal Government contracts.
  • Relevant Military experience is a plus.
SKILLS:
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software is required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills are required.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and processes are required.
  • Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

  • A valid state driver's license and the ability to travel 50% or more of the time required.

Compensation starting at $109,010 - $142,000 plus bonus opportunity, depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
