What is a remote technical analysis trader?

A Remote Technical Analysis Trader is a professional who analyzes financial markets and executes trades from a remote location, using technical analysis tools and strategies. They study price charts, trends, and technical indicators to make informed trading decisions without relying on fundamental analysis. These traders often work independently or for trading firms, using various online platforms to access global markets. Their main goal is to profit from short- or long-term price movements based on historical price patterns and market data.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote technical analysis trader?

To thrive as a Remote Technical Analysis Trader, you need a deep understanding of financial markets, chart analysis, and trading strategies, often supported by a degree in finance or related fields. Proficiency with trading platforms (like MetaTrader or Thinkorswim), charting software, and sometimes certifications such as CFA or CMT are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, discipline, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for making sound trading decisions and sharing insights with teams or clients. These skills ensure accurate market predictions, risk management, and consistent trading performance in a highly competitive remote environment.

How does a remote technical analysis trader typically collaborate with other team members while working offsite?

As a Remote Technical Analysis Trader, you’ll often coordinate closely with portfolio managers, fellow traders, and analysts through digital communication platforms like Slack, Zoom, and shared dashboards. Regular virtual meetings and real-time chat channels help the team discuss market trends, share trade ideas, and align on strategy. You may also participate in daily or weekly debriefs to review performance and refine trading approaches. Effective communication and timely data sharing are key to ensuring remote collaboration is seamless and successful.

Job description

Work Flexibility: Remote or Hybrid or Onsite

Stryker is hiring a Lead Analyst, Clinical Data Sciences for our Instruments division. This is a U.S.-based remote position, with preference for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Join Stryker Instruments in a role that sits at the intersection of clinical evidence, analytics, and business strategy. This position serves as a key connector between clinical questions and data-driven insights, helping stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Reimbursement, Market Access, and commercial teams make informed decisions based on high-quality evidence. As part of a growing Clinical Data Sciences function, you will help establish scalable evidence-management capabilities while shaping how clinical evidence is evaluated and leveraged across the organization.

This role combines evidence strategy, evidence management, and insight generation, partnering closely with technical experts who build data products and automation solutions. The position offers broad exposure across Stryker Instruments' portfolio and supports initiatives that influence product, regulatory, clinical, and investment decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead implementation and management of evidence workflows, including systematic review processes, data extraction, quality control, reporting, and evidence repositories.

  • Build and scale evidence-management processes across multiple business units, transforming clinical and regulatory requirements into standardized, repeatable workflows.

  • Translate clinical, regulatory, reimbursement, and business questions into structured analyses and evidence-based recommendations.

  • Generate and interpret insights from clinical literature, real-world evidence, registries, claims data, and other scientific sources.

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and business stakeholders to prioritize evidence needs and communicate findings.

  • Support clinical evaluation reports, post-market clinical follow-up activities, publications, scientific communications, and regulatory submissions through evidence synthesis and analytical support.

  • Evaluate clinical evidence across product portfolios, identify evidence gaps, and support prioritization of future evidence-generation investments.

  • Drive continuous improvement by partnering with technical teams to automate evidence workflows, enhance data solutions, and expand adoption of evidence-management tools.

What You Need

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Epidemiology, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Public Health, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical evidence, medical affairs analytics, HEOR, epidemiology, clinical research, or data science with clinical application.
  • Experience translating clinical, scientific, regulatory, or business questions into structured analyses and actionable insights.
  • Experience conducting clinical literature reviews, evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, or evidence-management activities.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings and evidence-based recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Engineering, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Data Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with DistillerSR, ReadCube, or similar evidence-management platforms.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulatory requirements, including FDA submissions, European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR), Clinical Evaluation Reports (CERs), and Post-Market Clinical Follow-Up (PMCF) activities.
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or SQL.
  • Experience working with real-world data sources, healthcare claims, registries, or observational datasets.
