• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique situations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to assist clients in overcoming their substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, nurses, addiction specialists, and other social workers to provide holistic care.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health and substance use issues, empowering them with strategies for self-management.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance service delivery.

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing acute and chronic substance use disorders, as well as those struggling with co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Your role will be crucial in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys, emphasizing a person-centered approach to treatment.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois is mandatory.
• Demonstrated knowledge of solution-focused psychotherapy interventions and other evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and telehealth platforms is preferred.

• At least two years of clinical experience in social work, specifically within a mental health or substance use treatment setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the socio-cultural factors impacting mental health and recovery.
• Prior work in a Detox Center or similar environment is advantageous.
