Work EnvironmentThis role is conducted in a fully remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and comfort while still being an integral part of our outpatient office's special education program. Team members enjoy a professional yet supportive culture, with the tools and resources necessary to engage in clinical assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with educators and healthcare professionals. Scheduled work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend availability to accommodate emergencies or specific needs of students.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, identifying the specific needs of students and formulating accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health issues, emotional well-being, and successful integration within the school community.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on fostering personal growth, promoting emotional regulation, and teaching effective coping strategies.
- Work in collaboration with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Deliver crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to student needs.
- Provide psychoeducation to students and families, guiding them through understanding mental health conditions and available resources.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that student progress and treatment effectiveness are well recorded.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
The primary patient population includes children and adolescents with special needs, requiring an understanding of the complexities of disorders such as ASD, learning disabilities, and trauma. Qualifications- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of Georgia.

- Proficiency in conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using diverse therapeutic approaches.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, vital for both student and team interactions.
- At least two years of post-licensure experience, ideally working within a special education or school-based setting.
- Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to provide calm and effective support in high-stress situations.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and technology skills necessary for effective documentation and communication.
The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
