As a licensed clinical social worker within a school facility, you will have the opportunity to address the mental health needs of students and their families, ensuring they receive comprehensive care. While the core responsibilities will be conducted remotely, regular meetings and collaborative case management sessions will be held to ensure client-centered care.

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments of clients, utilizing evidence-based tools, to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique circumstances.
• Provide high-quality individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the specific needs of students, helping them navigate academic pressures, social challenges, and emotional distress.
• Regularly monitor client progress towards the established treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize health outcomes.
• Engage in collaborative interdisciplinary discussions with educational professionals, such as teachers and school psychologists, to create a supportive network for client success.
• Deliver crisis intervention services and support for clients facing acute challenges, ensuring immediate and effective mental health care.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and therapeutic interventions in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
• Stay current with developments in the mental health field and integrate new therapeutic techniques into practice to enhance the quality of care.

This position specifically targets the school-aged demographic, including children and adolescents who face varying issues from anxiety and depression to behavioral challenges and life adjustments. Your role will involve creating safe spaces where students feel heard and validated, allowing you to facilitate their emotional and psychological growth, ultimately enhancing their academic performance and personal development.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Competency in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
• A strong aptitude for working independently while being an integral part of a collaborative treatment team.

• Previous experience in school settings or working with youth in a clinical capacity.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis management strategies.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
• Knowledge of community resources in Columbus, Georgia, to facilitate referrals and additional support for clients.
