Job description

Remediation Mechanical Field Technician: (Florida sites)

You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting soil vapor extraction (SVE) and air sparge (AS) systems. This requires hands-on work in the field, including data collection, periodic sampling, and active maintenance of treatment systems.

Additionally, you will be responsible for completing service and field reports and working closely with the project team to ensure the success of remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot remediation equipment.
  • Collect, manage, and report on data related to system.
  • Perform periodic sampling of liquids and vapors for testing.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, including equipment repair and troubleshooting, on various mechanical and electrical components used in the remediation process.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Communicate effectively with the project team leader.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with sampling and monitoring meters required. (YSI and Mini-Rae)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Experience with instrumentation, controls, and PLC interfaces.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including 3-phase motors.
  • Remote position with travel in Florida.
  • Florida travel required, Company Vehicle provided, Per-diem and lodging provided.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical exams and drug screening.
