This setup allows organizations to bring together experts from various fields without geographic limitations. Remote Task Forces are commonly used for project-based work, crisis response, or to address specific organizational challenges. Members typically communicate via video conferencing, chat, and project management tools to coordinate their efforts and ensure productivity.

Universal Joint Task List Analyst
The Opportunity:
As a Defense Mission Professional, you understand that the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) is more than a catalog of tasks-it is a foundational readiness and training framework that directly shapes how the Joint Force assesses mission capability, develops training programs, and aligns operational requirements. You think critically, question assumptions, and help bring structure to complex operational environments. We're looking for someone like you to help sustain and advance the UJTL program that underpins joint readiness across Combatant Commands, Services, and Defense Agencies.
As a Senior UJTL Analyst, you will apply deep operational expertise, analytical skill, and joint process knowledge to develop, maintain, and refine UJTL tasks and associated products. You'll collaborate with Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, UJTL stakeholders, working groups, and doctrine teams to ensure the UJTL remains accurate, relevant, aligned with approved policy, and responsive to emerging concepts. Your role also contributes directly to readiness reporting, training development, joint planning, and the integration of UJTL content across doctrine, systems, and policy publications.
You'll support authoritative and non-authoritative change requests, maintain and update UJTL databases and conditions, deliver training to Organizational Points of Contact (OPOCs) and stakeholders, prepare publication action reports, develop UJTL crosswalks supporting concepts and wargames, and help align UJTL updates with joint doctrine. Through your operational experience and communication skills, you ensure that UJTL products remain clear, structured, validated, and ready for integration across joint readiness, planning, and training communities.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • Experience with Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETLs), the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), and Master Training Plans (MTP)
  • Experience developing, maintaining, coordinating, and delivering user training to CCMD and Joint Task Force Headquarters staff
  • Experience conducting task analysis, processing change requests, and delivering recommendations to government program managers
  • Knowledge of Joint Staff structure, mission, programs, and organizational relationships, including relationships with CCMDs, Services, and Defense Agencies
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with operational warfighting or 7+ years of experience with operational warfighting in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience preparing and conducting working groups, including developing and presenting briefings tailored to senior audiences
  • Experience developing UJTL crosswalks supporting wargames, exercises, concepts, or readiness reporting
  • Experience supporting UJTL-related working groups, Users Advisory Groups (UUAG), and coordination with Joint Staff divisions
  • Experience developing staffing packages and adjudicating UJTL change actions
  • Knowledge of the Joint Doctrine process and how UJTL content aligns with doctrine development, revision, and adjudication
  • Knowledge of project management principles applied to staffing packages, reviews, coordination timelines, and publication actions
  • Knowledge of joint doctrine alignment processes for updating UJTL citations in Joint Publications following doctrine revision cycles
  • Possession of strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
