Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, and maintenance management systems is typically required. These professionals contract with shipping companies or brokers to haul loads and are responsible for vehicle maintenance, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and customer service. The 'remote' aspect means much of their administrative work, dispatching, and communication are handled online or by phone, giving them flexibility in managing their business from various locations.
