Position Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing data systems and architectures within a complex enterprise data ecosystem. This role involves working closely with business, product, analytics, and technology teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Understand project requirements and support both new and existing data systems within the enterprise data ecosystem
  • Organize technical work efforts, identify required data sources, and contribute to solution design
  • Analyze existing data architecture and legacy systems to understand impacts on new reporting and analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with data and business teams to align on requirements, artifacts, and Martech-related initiatives
  • Monitor project implementation progress and escalate status updates, risks, and issues to senior and lead stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams including Business, Product, Technology, and Analytics to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Support internal data teams by clarifying requirements, proactively identifying risks, and maintaining clear communication across stakeholders
  • Gather detailed business requirements and develop end-to-end data solutions for organizational initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Technology or a related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, including data quality, ETL, and system maintenance
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, and Lambda
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or similar CDW platforms
  • Strong experience working in cloud and hybrid data environments
  • Exposure to AWS cloud environments preferred
  • Experience working in customer-facing environments
  • Travel, hospitality, or related industry experience is a strong plus
