Job Description: The Network System Engineer is responsible for delivering mission-critical infrastructure work, ensuring maximum availability, performance, and security posture across the organization's systems, networks, and cloud environments. Job Summary Operate, tune, and maintain servers, storage, networking hardware, switches, routing, and cabling to meet a 99% availability target, including capacity planning and platform lifecycle management. Design, administer, and troubleshoot Active Directory environments, including user and group lifecycle, Group Policy, domain controllers, OU design, and replication. Manage VM lifecycle, VDI workloads, and cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, including security enforcement and compliance. Lead complex incident investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation across Windows, storage, and networking stacks. Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions, telemetry pipelines, and monitoring systems to ensure data protection and observability. Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python) to automate patch deployment, GPO management, and system configuration across the enterprise. Own runbooks, SOPs, network documentation, and knowledge base materials; coordinate cross-functional and vendor handoffs. Minimum Requirements: 8 years of full-time professional experience in network system engineering and network or system administration. Proficiency in Windows, Mac, Linux, Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS, including IP networking, VLANs, QoS, TCP/IP, and OSI layers. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Intune, LAN/WAN installation and maintenance, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Experience with cloud infrastructure management and migration (Azure, AWS, GCP), including VMs, storage, VNets, load balancers, VPN gateways, and security. Experience with monitoring systems, cyber security practices, and disaster recovery planning. Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with PKI, certificate lifecycle management, REST and SOAP APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network or System Engineering, Technology, or a related field, plus applicable IT certifications. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline. IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS. Experience with Five9 phone system administration, SIP trunks, and telecom or broadband environments. Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps or similar), Agile or Lean methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and project management platforms such as JIRA, MS Project, or Trello. Familiarity with data mobility and integration platforms such as Workato, ETL pipelines, and data-driven tools including Python, Power BI, and SQL.
