The Data Administrator works within the Center of Data Excellence, supporting the team in obtaining data for use in performing sales tax consulting engagements. The Data Administrator will work with external clients, by sending ERP specific data request letters, receiving the required data from clients through various methods of transfer, and generally assisting clients regarding questions or concerns about the data.
This is a remote role in the Mississauga, ON area.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

People:

  • Creates a positive team experience.

Client:

  • Handles requests from internal and external client for RYAN Tax Access.

  • Prepares tailored letters/e-mails to clients containing notification of upcoming engagement.
  • Contacts clients to obtain data prior to engagement and provides any required assistance in retrieving data from their systems.

Value:

  • Maintains and administers the Ryan Tax Access for Canadian Sales Tax Engagements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High-school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required and a post-secondary degree or diploma in a finance or ERP systems related field would be a strong asset. The candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, is enthusiastic, positive, and willing to learn. Accounting experience not required but is an asset.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including walking clients through using RYAN Tax Access.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: none.
