This position offers a flexible remote working arrangement, allowing you to provide care from a location of your choice within the state of Kansas. Although primarily virtual, our outpatient office in Wichita serves as a supportive hub for team collaboration and client interaction as needed. Our approach integrates modern technology to ensure an efficient workflow, including the use of advanced electronic health record systems like AVATAR.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to gauge clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluations, ensuring clear goals and recovery strategies tailored for individuals, couples, families, or groups.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to foster engagement and healing.
• Monitor ongoing client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that treatment goals are met effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to design cohesive intervention strategies that address all aspects of client well-being.
• Provide follow-up communication regarding clients’ progress to hospital staff when required, ensuring consistent care across multiple services.
• Identify and mitigate potential barriers to recovery, offering support to clients and families to navigate challenges effectively.

Our clientele comprises a diverse range of individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. As a licensed mental health counselor, you will work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and other mental health disorders. Your clinical insights will play a critical role in guiding clients toward healthier patterns and achieving lasting positive outcomes.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
• Successful completion of relevant national examinations such as the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, with strong familiarity with AVATAR being an asset.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective client interaction and collaboration with other professionals.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor engaged in direct client care, demonstrating a solid track record in developing treatment strategies and facilitating therapy sessions.
• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, including substance use disorders combined with mental health conditions.
• An understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and clinical guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to clients’ mental health journeys.
