Remote Stylists are fashion professionals who provide personalized styling advice and recommendations to clients through online platforms, rather than in-person. They assess a client's fashion preferences, body type, and lifestyle remotely—often via video calls, chat, or curated digital lookbooks. Remote Stylists help clients select clothing and accessories, stay updated with trends, and build confidence in their personal style, all from the convenience of their own homes.

Team collaboration often involves coordinating with other stylists, inventory specialists, and customer service representatives to ensure clients receive a seamless experience. Staying organized, being responsive, and utilizing collaborative tools are key to succeeding in this virtual work environment.

What Is the Job of a Remote Stylist?

You primarily work from home, communicating via phone, email, and chat apps to collaborate with each client. Sometimes, your duties include assisting clients in preparing for an important event, like a photo shoot, party, or fashion show. This position is very flexible. You can choose to work on one-off projects, or you can work on a contract basis.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Stylist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Stylist, you need a solid background in fashion, trend awareness, and personal styling, often supported by experience or a relevant certification in fashion or image consulting. We're building the world's first robotic hair-braiding that works with professional stylists to reduce braiding appointments from hours to minutes and grow their business. Billion hours are spent braiding hair each year. HaloBraid exists to give that time back.
Our product has already gone viral, generating millions of views across social platforms, building a fast-growing community of stylists, braid wearers, beauty lovers, and early believers excited for what's next. This role will help transform our early traction into a dedicated and nurtured community.
We're looking for a social media-obsessed highly creative Social Media Associate to help bring HaloBraid to life across social platforms and in the community. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating content, following trends, shooting and editing short-form video, writing captions, engaging with audiences, and building digital community from the ground up.
Responsibilities
  • Own HaloBraid's day-to-day organic social strategy, including content calendars, platform planning, posting cadence, and creative testing.
  • Concept, create, shoot, edit, caption, and publish social content across TikTok, Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify trends, sounds, memes, conversations, and cultural moments that HaloBraid can participate in authentically.
  • Develop recurring content ideas and series that build awareness, trust, community, and excitement ahead of launch.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content with the HaloBraid team, stylists, community members, product demos, events, and brand moments.
  • Own day-to-day community engagement, including comments, DMs, tagged posts, mentions, and social listening.
  • Track social performance, report on KPIs, and use data to adjust strategy, improve content, and drive growth.
  • Support community events, interviews, creator moments, and brand storytelling across the broader marketing and community team.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, content creation, community, influencer marketing, brand marketing, or a related role.
  • Loves social media, is chronically online and enjoys keeping up with trends.
  • Deep fluency in TikTok, Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social platforms.
  • Strong short-form video instincts. You understand hooks, pacing, captions, trends, sounds, memes, and what makes people share.
  • Hands-on content creation experience, including concepting, shooting, editing, writing copy, and posting.
  • Comfortable being on camera and helping others feel comfortable on camera too.
  • Passion for beauty, hair care, hair trends, textured hair, braiding, salons, and community.
  • Strong taste level and an understanding of what feels fresh, premium, funny, culturally relevant, and socially native.
  • Independent, organized, proactive, and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Haves
  • Internship or work experience at a beauty, hair care, fashion, lifestyle, consumer, or creator-led brand.
  • Experience creating or growing your own TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or other platform.
  • Experience with CapCut, Canva, Figma, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar tools.

Working Style
  • Low ego, adaptable, and collaborative spirit
  • Excited to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate and community drive

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 100% medical premium coverage
