Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in the mental health landscape of the school environment. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments to gauge the mental health status, strengths, and needs of students.
• Implementing evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, to support individual student growth.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, school nurses, teachers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for students.
• Educating students and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and available resources, advocating for their mental health needs.
• Providing individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to the student population.
• Developing personalized treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team, leveraging student goals and preferences for better outcomes.
• Guiding students through the mental health system, ensuring they have access to needed services and advocating for their rights.
• Facilitating therapeutic groups and psychoeducation sessions that promote resilience, coping strategies, and positive mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on working with students within the educational framework, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. By providing tailored interventions through a school-based lens, you will be instrumental in helping young individuals navigate their mental health journeys, thereby contributing to their academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, along with effective crisis intervention skills.

Compensation and Benefits
