This role is integral to our school-based rehabilitation program, where you will play a pivotal part in supporting students as they navigate the emotional and social challenges they face during recovery from injury or illness. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments through interviews and observations, utilizing medical records to evaluate the emotional, social, and environmental factors impacting students' recovery.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to students and their families, addressing adjustment issues and assisting with coping mechanisms during the rehabilitation process.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team, which includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to develop individualized treatment plans that consider the psychosocial needs of each student.
  • Assist students in accessing essential community resources, such as support groups, vocational rehabilitation services, or housing assistance, to enhance their rehabilitation outcomes.
