POSITION SUMMARY

The Competency Center Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with various customer contacts by promoting solutions and services while growing sales and profitability. This position serves as the key point of contact between the customer and multiple internal department contacts within the organization.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all obligations within a customer contract on met on time by both parties. This position can be full time remote in the Gainsville area 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Schedule, create, and lead quarterly business reviews.

•Formulate medium to long-range sales plans to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of customers.

•Develop and implement a strategic customer growth roadmap/plan with the focus on implementing new business awards and building customer dependences.

•Aggressively pursue additional sales opportunities and proactively drive opportunities to successful closure.

•Engage customer contacts to initiate contract renewal process, and ensure contracts are renewed on time.

•Monitor competitive activity in each account and ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.

•With autonomy and tenacity, resolve issues and ensure customers receive high quality customer service.

•Ensure customer profitability by maintaining and/or improving customer margin through coordinated activity with Sales Operations and other departments (obtaining customer approval on substitutes/alternatives, getting necessary price increases implemented, etc.)

•Maintain accurate information for sales pipeline, prospects, customer information and communication logs within the CRM system.

•Assist in the management of all elements of contractual obligations, including but not limited to excess & obsolete inventory, value added/value engineered, cost savings documentation, pricing/material index reviews, inventory reductions, and expense minimization.

•Own relationships with mid-level clients (i.e. Purchasing Manager) and foster relationships with senior clients (i.e. Purchasing Director, C-Suite, etc.).

•Support customer implementations and continuous improvement initiatives

•Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent experience.

•Minimum 2 years of industrial sales experience, with related products and/or related industry.

•Valid Driver’s license and approved driving record.

•Experience with project management and/or new customer onboarding, a plus.

•High standard of professionalism and ethics.

•Preferred style of teamwork, collaboration, and humility

•Ability to analyze complex business situations and develop creative business focused solutions.

•Self-starter, self -motivated, and ability to manage and drive own schedule.

•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, blueprint or schedule form.

•Strong listening and interpersonal skills, and formidable negotiating skills.

•Effective communicator, both verbally and with written communications.

•Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees. Refined persuasion and related sales and presentation skills.
