We'relooking for a talented Senior Software Engineer/Network Automation (Front End Development) to join our growing Network Automation team. In this role,you'llbe a key player in building, scaling, and automating the next generation of our network tooling infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, andmaintaininnovative tools and solutions to meet evolving business needs. This could be something as simple as developing a Mustache email template library for streamlined responses, or as complex as ML tools for automated troubleshooting

  • Leverageopen-sourceautomation tools and scripting languages in commercial tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, ServiceNow, Salesforce,etc) to streamline NOC information gathering, internal communication, and communication with customers

  • Contribute to solving complex technical and process problems, such as mass customer communication, automating responses to trouble tickets, and injecting enrichment information into trouble tickets

  • Refactor andconsolidateexisting tools to be a cohesive suite of tools that improve ease of use and reduce swivel-chairing to get the job done

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, SRE) to ensure security andoptimalapplication performance

  • Own new features through the project lifecycle, working collaboratively with a team of software developers to ensuretimelydelivery of high-quality software solutions

  • Stayup to dateon emerging network technologies and best practices, becoming the beacon for best practices and efficient processes through the organization

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and demonstrates a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience working with various databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle

  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

  • Experience in both building and integrating with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with async processing and message bus communications (RabbitMQ, Kafka)

  • Experience creating and executing automated software testing

  • Strong abilities on the Linux command line, working with various flavors of Linux and Docker/Kubernetes

  • Strong understanding of applied statistics and the ability to code systems thatidentifyoutlier behavior in large systems.

  • Previousexperience delivering,maintainingand promoting a production software product

  • Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience using a variety of remote collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Zoom,etc

Estimated base salary range: $112,800 - $135,000 USD/annually.
