About the Role

Our client is expanding its behavioral health capacity and hiring board-certified psychiatrists to deliver virtual psychiatric care. The work is primarily diagnostic evaluation and ongoing medication management for an adult outpatient population.

You'll work with a full intake and assessment team, so your time goes to clinical decision-making rather than scheduling, insurance verification, or chasing records.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations via video

  • Provide ongoing medication management and titration across mood, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use presentations

  • Prescribe controlled substances in accordance with federal and state law, including current telehealth prescribing rules

  • Coordinate with therapists, care navigators, and primary care where indicated

  • Document within our behavioral health EMR to the standard required for payer review

  • Escalate acute safety concerns per protocol, with 24/7 crisis-team backup

Practice Environment
  • Full admissions and assessment support on every case

  • Average of [XX] encounters per shift, with protected documentation time

  • Flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend availability

  • Malpractice coverage provided

  • No inpatient responsibility, no call

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency

  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry by the ABPN

  • Active, unrestricted medical license and DEA registration authorizing all applicable schedules

  • 2+ years of outpatient psychiatric practice post-residency

  • Comfort with telepsychiatry workflows and remote medication management

  • Active, unrestricted medical licensure in a minimum of three U.S. states

  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish, sufficient to conduct a complete clinical encounter without an interpreter

  • Subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry or addiction medicine is welcome but not required
