We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at the Head Start Youth Counseling Center. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' psychosocial needs and develop individualized treatment plans using our software system.
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and marriage and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Collaborate with medical staff regarding patient care issues, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to therapy and interventions.
  • Refer clients to relevant group therapy, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and substance abuse services as needed.
  • Engage in crisis management, utilizing therapeutic techniques to de-escalate immediate concerns and ensure client safety.
  • Complete all clinical charting and documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to healthcare compliance standards.
  • Participate in ongoing performance improvement initiatives within the mental health track, contributing to the enhancement of therapeutic practices.
  • Represent the organization at community events and professional development opportunities, fostering relationships that benefit our clientele.
  • Manage follow-up for clients who miss appointments in accordance with our no-show policy, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Complete non-patient care responsibilities, including administrative tasks for various organizational programs.
  • Accept additional special assignments to meet program objectives and enhance the patient experience in our clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Head Start Youth Counseling Center serves a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and families facing mental health challenges. Our clients often experience various psychosocial stressors, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts. This position is pivotal in providing culturally competent care that respects the unique backgrounds and needs of our patients.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required, with a valid LMFT license in the State of Georgia.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
