What does a remote sports camera operator do?

A Remote Sports Camera Operator is responsible for capturing live footage of sporting events using cameras that are controlled remotely, often from a production truck or studio. They work closely with directors and producers to ensure that the most important action and angles are recorded for broadcasts or streaming. This role requires strong technical skills, quick reflexes, and a good understanding of sports to anticipate and follow the action. Job description

Sales Director
Company: Stratoscope
Location: U.S. Remote, with 50% domestic U.S. travel
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 base salary, based on experience, plus performance-based commission of up to 50% of base salary
Role Overview
Stratoscope is seeking an accomplished Sales Director to drive new business growth across our integrated portfolio of security, risk management, technology, and event solutions.
Our Purpose: We exist to make complex environments safer, more predictable, and better managed through disciplined planning and professional execution.
As Sales Director, you will play a critical role in advancing this purpose by connecting clients with the right combination of expertise, services, and solutions across Stratoscope Holdings.
Our companies provide complementary capabilities spanning event security and operations consulting, crowd management, advanced weapons detection and perimeter screening technology, K9 detection services, executive protection, and related security and risk solutions. The Sales Director will represent this broader platform in the market, identifying client needs and connecting them with the right combination of capabilities across Stratoscope.
This is a senior, hands-on sales role for someone who knows how to create opportunities-not simply manage an existing book of business. The successful candidate will build relationships with senior decision-makers, develop and execute a disciplined sales strategy, originate and close complex engagements, and expand relationships across multiple service lines.
While experience within security, live events, sports and entertainment, or a related industry is valuable, we are equally interested in proven sales leaders from adjacent industries who demonstrate exceptional business development fundamentals, executive presence, commercial judgment, and a track record of winning complex B2B business.
What You Will Do
Drive new business growth. Develop and execute a national sales strategy that creates a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities across the Stratoscope Holdings portfolio. Generate business through direct prospecting, existing relationships, referrals, strategic partnerships, industry events, and other channels.
Sell the full platform. Develop a strong understanding of capabilities across Stratoscope and identify opportunities to bring clients integrated solutions rather than approaching the market through a single service line. Solutions may include event security and operational consulting, crowd management, weapons detection and screening technology, K9 detection services, executive protection, and other security and risk management capabilities.
Lead consultative sales conversations. Engage senior leaders to understand their business, operating environment, risks, challenges, and priorities. Work with internal subject matter experts to translate those needs into thoughtful, tailored solutions.
Build senior-level relationships. Develop trusted relationships with decision-makers across sports and entertainment, corporate environments, event production, venues, education, government, high-net-worth and family office environments, and other target markets.
Own opportunities from origination through close. Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, proposals, presentations, commercial negotiations, contracting, and transition to the appropriate operational team.
Create high-quality client deliverables. Develop proposals, presentations, statements of work, pricing materials, and follow-up communications that clearly communicate Stratoscope's value and meet the standard expected by executive-level clients.
Expand client relationships. Look beyond the initial engagement to identify opportunities to deepen relationships, introduce complementary capabilities, and develop recurring or multi-service partnerships across the platform.
Develop strategic partnerships and channels. Build productive referral and channel relationships with organizations and advisors that serve Stratoscope's target clients, including event production firms, venue operators, security consultants and integrators, risk advisors, and other strategic partners.
Partner across the organization. Work closely with executive leadership and operational subject matter experts across Stratoscope, Ingressotek, Stratos K9, Stratos EP, and other entities to develop solutions, pursue opportunities, and ensure successful client handoffs.
Represent the brand. Serve as a polished and credible representative of Stratoscope at client meetings, conferences, industry events, and other business development opportunities.
Manage the business with discipline. Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM data, provide reliable forecasts, track activity and conversion metrics, and maintain clear visibility into opportunity status, next steps, and risk.
Requirements
What You Will Bring
    • 8+ years of progressive B2B sales, business development, or commercial experience, with demonstrated success in a senior individual-contributor or sales leadership capacity.
    • A documented track record of personally originating and closing complex, high-value business rather than relying primarily on inbound or inherited opportunities.
    • Experience managing sophisticated sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, customized solutions, and executive-level decision-makers.
    • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from the ground up through strategic prospecting, relationship development, referrals, partnerships, and industry engagement.
    • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to uncover business needs, ask thoughtful questions, and translate complex capabilities into compelling client solutions.
    • Experience selling multiple services, solutions, or capabilities and identifying opportunities to expand relationships beyond an initial engagement.
    • Strong commercial judgment, including experience with pricing, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and protecting profitable growth.
    • Executive presence and credibility with senior client stakeholders.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently produce polished, executive-level client materials.
    • A disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting, CRM hygiene, and sales accountability.
    • High degree of ownership, initiative, judgment, discretion, and follow-through.
    • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
    • Sales or business development experience within security, risk management, event services, sports and entertainment, venue operations, security technology, executive protection, or another adjacent industry.
    • Existing relationships with decision-makers across corporate security, sports and entertainment, venues, event production, higher education, government, Fortune 500 organizations, or high-net-worth/family office environments.
    • Experience selling professional services alongside technology or operational solutions.
    • Experience developing large enterprise accounts with opportunities spanning multiple products or service lines.
    • Familiarity with event security, physical security, weapons detection and screening, K9 detection, executive protection, protective intelligence, or related security disciplines.
    • Active involvement with relevant professional or industry organizations.

Who You Are
  • You are a builder. You are energized by creating opportunities where none existed before and are equally comfortable opening a door, developing a relationship over time, and asking for the business when the opportunity is right.
  • You are curious enough to learn a client's environment before prescribing a solution and commercially minded enough to recognize where a broader relationship can be built. You don't need to be the technical expert in every capability you sell; you know how to ask the right questions, bring the right experts into the conversation, and translate expertise into business value.
  • You operate comfortably with senior executives and demanding clients. Your follow-through is exceptional, your communication is polished, and you treat every interaction as a reflection of the company you represent.
  • Most importantly, you take ownership of the number. You understand that strong sales performance comes from consistent prospecting, disciplined pipeline management, thoughtful relationship building, and the ability to turn opportunities into profitable, long-term client relationships.
