We are seeking a Specialist - SystemOperations, reporting to the Director of Systems Operations,to join our team. In this role,you'llhelp ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of critical production systems that support Nasdaq's global business operations.

Reporting to the Director of Systems Operations, this team plays a key role inmaintaininghighly availableinfrastructure and driving operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Shift Information
This role follows a four-day work week with 10-hour shifts.

US (Remote):

  • 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT

  • Friday - Mondayor

  • Saturday - Tuesday

Weekend support is an essential part of the role.

What You Will Do
  • Monitor and perform first-levelresponse andtroubleshooting of infrastructure alerts using HPOMi.Troubleshoot file system, memory, and CPUutilizationalarms on server systems (RHEL, Rocky Linux/CentOS and Windows).

  • Manage server operations, including hardware maintenance, BIOS updates, RAID components, and virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V.

  • Perform Linux and Windows server patching, health checks, and activitiesrequiredtomaintaincompliance and ensure system availability.

  • Automate operational tasks using Python andGit, andproactively contribute to process improvement initiatives.Proactively and independently work on projects as needed.

  • Manage work through ticketing systems, provide operational support, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents and escalations.

  • Create andmaintaintechnical documentation, knowledge articles, best practices, and procedures using Confluence.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure and production environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux andbasicWindows server administration, including the ability toidentifyand remediate hardware issues using iDRAC,iLO, and related tools, with a working knowledge of server and networking hardware.

  • Extensive experience using a programming language such as Python, with basic Ansible/Shell scripting and/or PowerShell knowledge.

  • Experience working with API calls, extracting datasets, andutilisingdata for analytics and operational insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Microsoft Office experience, with the ability to effectively document and communicate technical information.

  • Self-motivated, reliable team player who consistently works to enhance system performance, improve systems availability, and drive operational excellence.

Nice to Have

  • RHCSA, MCSE, or similar technical certifications.

  • Experience with cloud technologies.

  • Familiarity with Splunk, Terraform, Tanium, Ansible Automation Platform, Foreman, Git, or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of financial services, trading systems, or otherhighly available, mission-critical environments
