Position Summary

We’re looking for engaging individuals who want to address one of our nation’s most critical challenges. As a Professional Learning Consultant (Contract) with EPS Learning, you will provide high-quality professional development to schools and district personnel throughout Iowa. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role.


To be considered for this position, candidates must reside within the state of Iowa.

 

Travel Requirements

This role requires travel throughout the state of Iowa to deliver on-site professional learning and training services to schools and districts. Travel is expected to account for approximately 70% of working time, with overnight travel occasionally required, particularly during the peak training season from July through October. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working directly with educators, building relationships with school communities, and making a meaningful impact on student outcomes across Iowa.


Responsibilities

  • Use your expertise to deliver and lead high-quality, live professional services and workshops for schools and districts. EPS Learning will provide product-specific templates so that you can focus on perfecting your presentation.
  • Prepare for workshops by attending EPS Learning-sponsored professional development training, becoming a subject matter expert in each of our core products.
  • Collaborate as a part of broader services team to deliver high quality training.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in K-12 education
  • Minimum 1 year of experience delivering presentations to adult learners
  • Hands-on classroom experience, with a strong understanding of K-12 education dynamics
  • Proven ability to deliver polished, persuasive presentations to diverse audiences, including school leaders and district administrators
  • Proficient in technology, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Zoom
  • In-depth knowledge of effective classroom management strategies
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills tailored to all levels of school and district administration

 

Compensation and Logistics

  • Consultants will be paid a per diem training rate, a stipend for travel and supplies, and an hourly rate for special projects.
  • You must have the availability to work during the school day.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary tools to provide remote and in-person workshops and support, including a quality computer with Microsoft Office Suite installed, stable Internet access supporting video delivery, and an appropriate video background.
