Job description

ExamWorks is seeking in Information Security Analyst to join the team 100% remote!
The Information Security Analyst will respond to security related requests from customers related to physical access, firewall issues, content filter, and spam filter and virus protection. In addition, this position will identify security risks, develop mitigation plans, manage vulnerability analysis and assist with audits both physical site and data systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Respond to security related requests for help from our customers related to: physical access, firewall, content filter, email security appliances/ spam filter, virus protection, physical and logical asset tracking and protection.
  • Identify security risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage and audit firewall rules.
  • Responsible for IEM log analysis.
  • Manage, develop, and maintenance of Threat and Vulnerability Management initiatives.
  • Manage content filters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT Security related issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Prioritize, evaluate, resolve and/or escalate issues as required.
  • Provide appropriately detailed and timely follow-up support with customers.
  • Submit accurate and well-documented solutions consistently for inclusion in the knowledge base.
  • Participate in Security related projects.
  • Review and update security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in security compliance audits (i.e. SOX, SOC, HiTRUST, etc.). This will include completing such tasks/duties individually and cooperatively.
  • Evangelize security within the organization and be an advocate for customer trust.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all applicant, client, and company proprietary information.
  • Work collaboratively and individually with the planning, design, implementation, documentation, and deployment of security projects, appliances, and applications.
  • Attend VAR and Vender meetings as needed.
  • Serve as SME for Security Related tools and applications.
  • Create necessary documentation for security related tools, applications, and processes.
  • Occasional travel, including but not limited to data centers.
  • Preform all other duties as assigned.

  • College Degree in Computer Science or related field with five years of experience in IT and two years of experience in IT security.
  • Preferred experience with industry audit standards and security frameworks.
  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security concepts, practice and analysis, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
  • Minimum of Security+, GIAC/ EC Council certification(s), or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time; some travel internationally.
  • Must be familiar with Checkpoint, Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls, Cisco Ironport, Trend Micro AV, Threat and Vulnerability Management, 2-factor Authentication, Access Control Systems, SIEM products, VMware products, Asset Management and Tracking, SIE.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to upper managements' directions accurately.
  • Must have advanced computer troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and/or stressful conditions.
  • Must possess the ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
  • Must have ability to learn multiple programs and systems.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  • Must be able to prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions and without distracting others.
  • Must be available to be on call for after-hours coverage as listed on a rotation schedule.
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time.
