Job description

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider - encompassing physical, mental and financial health - TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

Join us as a Business Analyst and become the catalyst for our clients' success! In this role, you'll be responsible for configuring our internal software solutions, anticipating and overcoming the challenges our clients face following implementation. You'll benefit from mentoring by management teams, but you'll truly shine through your ability to act with initiative, strategically prioritize, and solve problems independently.
At TELUS Health, this role is your ticket to exceptional mastery of retirement calculations and pension plan administration-a rare and sought-after expertise in the Canadian and American markets. Through our continuous implementations across North America, you'll have the unique opportunity to explore and master an impressive spectrum of retirement calculations. You'll accomplish this in less than a year at TELUS Health, building incomparable versatility even compared to those with years of experience at our competitors.
To shine in this role, you must already master the complex scenarios of Canadian defined benefit pension plans and excel at untangling even more nuanced challenges by formulating clear explanations and charting a concrete path to the solution. You'll also demonstrate strong technical skills, clear communication, and a problem-solving approach that inspires confidence.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform detailed analysis of our clients' pension plan calculation rules
  • Act as the link between the client and the project team in terms of pension plan calculations
  • Configure in-house software to suit the specifics of the client's pension plan
  • Write specifications according to the needs and requests of the clients regarding new developments of the software
  • Ensure the proper integration of the software with other software that will be implemented for the client
  • Participate in the development of the specific testing strategy for software configuration and new developments
  • Participate in the review of test scenarios with the selection criteria required by the plan
  • Provide support to the quality assurance team
  • Collaborate in the development of the software by providing suggestions for improvement to the responsible team
  • Once the implementation is complete, provide customer service to users to ensure effective management of the software

What You Bring:

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or finance
  • 4+ years' experience in DB pension administration/consulting/implementation
  • Ability to understand and use current computer technologies and a good knowledge of Excel software
  • Recognized, among other things, for analytical and summarizing skills, sense of organization and flexibility in terms of managing multiple projects
  • Good initiative and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet timelines
  • Available to travel occasionally (Canada, US)

A bit about us

We're a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good. We improve lives through our technology solutions and foster a culture of innovation that empowers team members to solve complex problems and create remarkable human outcomes in a digital world.

Disclaimer: In accordance with the TELUS Health Solutions Data Center Security Policy, as a condition of employment, all team members whose job functions require they work at a Data Center and/or have access to detailed knowledge of technology related to client service delivery, are subject to a Personnel Security Screening conducted through the Government of Canada.

Note for Quebec candidates: if knowledge of English is required for this position, it is because the team member will be asked, on a regular basis, to interact in English with external or internal parties or to use English applications or software as part of their tasks.

By applying to this role, you understand and agree that your information will be shared with the TELUS Group of Companies' Talent Acquisition team(s) and/or any leader(s) who will be part of the selection process.
