- In this role you will design, implement, maintain, document and evolve our java-based backend applications and our Informatica MDM platform.
- Your extensive technical experience will be leveraged to solve complex problems, guide projects and features through definition, implementation and deployment, and you will mentor others on the team.
- With your learner's mindset, you will grow and develop as an engineer, as a team member, as a human, and as a champion for Ford.
What you'll do...
- Design, build, deploy, operate and monitor highly available, business critical software solutions using Java and Spring Boot with hexagonal architecture and behavior-driven development.
- Integrate software solutions with API-based and event-based patterns leveraging GCP native products.
- Design, build and manage Informatica IDMC integrations and dataflows based on Cloud App Integration, Data Integration & Replication, and Customer 360 MDM products, among others in the IDMC suite.
- Coach teammates on design patterns and software engineering practices in your areas of specific expertise.
- Thoughtfully apply and evolve AI-assisted software development techniques.
- Lead and guide the disaggregation of requirements into implementable work within an Agile-based work process.
- Contribute to the shared learning of the team and broader organization.
Qualifications
You'll have...
• At least five years experience in software engineering, with most of this time spent in java with spring boot. Deep experience with Spring is a must-have for this role.
• At least two years implementing Informatica based flows, including a strong working knowledge of XQuery scripting along with demonstrable experience with CAI, CDI, and MDM capabilities. You will not be considered without Informatica development experience.
• At least two years experience implementing software with Domain-Driven Design patterns.
• Demonstrable experience with Hexagonal Architecture (ports and adapters) and CQRS.
• Demonstrable experience building API integrations and event-driven solutions.
• Demonstrable experience in designing software solutions, including experience with Mermaid and C4 modeling.
• Experience with behavior-driven development, including the automation of testing using BDD Features and Scenarios.
• Working experience with GCP, CloudBuild, Terraform, Hoppscotch, and GraphQL.
• Experience managing work in a kanban-based Lean software manner using Jira and Github.
• Strong and clear oral and written communications skills.

• Informatica Professional level certification is a plus.
• Apollo GraphQL Developer or Professional is a plus.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
