ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance while partnering with teams to bring innovative solutions to market? Join SC Johnson's Global Safety Assessment & Regulatory Affairs (GSARA) organization, where you'll play a critical role in helping ensure our Home Storage products comply with food contact and packaging regulations across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

As the Senior Associate, North America Registration & Regulatory Compliance, you'll serve as a trusted regulatory advisor, partnering closely with Research, Development & Engineering (RD&E), Marketing, and cross-functional business teams to provide expert guidance throughout the product development lifecycle. From evaluating raw materials and formulations to reviewing finished products and labeling, you'll help shape regulatory strategies that enable innovation while protecting consumers and supporting business growth.

This highly collaborative headquarters-based role offers the opportunity to influence product development, solve complex regulatory challenges, and build strong partnerships across the organization as you help bring trusted Home Storage products to consumers throughout North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is accountable for the overall management of the day-to-day activities related to regulatory compliance for the food contact product portfolio including but not limited to:

    • Provide critical regulatory support to project teams in support of product launches.

    • Understand and apply label requirements for goods sold in North America.

    • Review and approval of artwork and media assets for the food contact product portfolio.

    • Pre-market assessments, which involves developing, securing, and maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations for FDA Food Contact, Health Canada and more localized state or provincial requirements.

    • Provide analysis and guidance, in regulatory matters related to food contact materials.

    • Maintain company databases and compliance related IT tools.

    • Help Inform project strategy, conduct risk analysis of alternate project options and inform stakeholders of risks and benefits of each option.

    • Monitor changing regulations and policies that impact Food Contact Compliance.

    • Support internal and external regulatory audits.

  • Integrate stakeholder feedback into strategic planning and operational processes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Act as conduit to project teams for other GSARA functions ensuring the technical experts are present and aware of project expectations when required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering and 4+ years of progressive experience in a regulated industry or government OR advanced degree with 2+ years of progressive experience in a regulated industry or government

  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and track record of driving teams for results

  • Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Copy and labeling review expertise for regulatory compliance.

  • Detail-oriented, accurate and self-motivated

  • Experience in new product development processes and lifecycle

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for communicating with inter-departmental staff, clients and regulatory authorities.

  • Experience with SAP and windows-based software including; PLM, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time onsite role in Racine, Wisconsin

  • Minimum 10% travel

  • Ability to sit, stand, and lift to 25 lbs.

  • Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees after 90-day onboarding period

  • This role is not eligible for relocation assistance
