Job description

Remote Opportunity in the Tri-State Area (NY, NJ or CT)

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor employment visas for this position, now or in the future.

Third Party candidates cannot be considered for this position.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage enterprise infrastructure initiatives supporting a fast-paced retail organization. This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned project management professional with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. While this role partners closely with technical infrastructure teams, it is not intended to be a hands-on engineering position. Instead, the successful candidate will drive execution, facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects from initiation through successful implementation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and executive status reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Network, Security, Cloud, End User Computing, Store Operations, Vendors, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, sprint planning sessions, and executive updates.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues while driving timely resolution and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project scope, change requests, resource planning, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Support Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies based on project needs.
  • Promote project management, best practices and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of project management experience managing enterprise infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Current Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Scrum certification.
  • Strong experience working in Agile environments with the ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and manage project backlogs.
  • Ability to take high-level business and technical requirements and translate them into well-defined user stories, epics, and actionable work items.
  • Experience partnering with solution architects to refine technical requirements and collaborating closely with development teams to decompose work into manageable tasks.
  • Technical aptitude to understand infrastructure concepts, ask the right questions, and effectively communicate with architects, engineers, and developers. While hands-on coding experience is not required, candidates should be comfortable working within technical environments and supporting software and infrastructure delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to engage with development teams to clarify requirements, remove delivery roadblocks, and ensure a shared understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams
  • Experience with project management and Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering infrastructure initiatives is preferred.
