Stable, expanding U.S.–based OEM delivering mission‐critical real‐time grid software and hardware‐network systems for electric utilities nationwide.

About the Role: We’re seeking a Solutions Engineer with strong software, integration, and utility‐domain expertise to support pre‐sales, guide solution design, and lead deployment of advanced real‐time distribution management applications for U.S. electric utilities.
You’ll work directly with utility engineering, operations, and IT teams to shape solutions, configure ADMS/DMS/OMS modules, and ensure successful delivery of real‐time grid software.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Client‐Facing Technical Leadership

  • Lead technical discovery, requirements sessions, and solution‐fit assessments with utility customers.
  • Deliver software demos, workshops, and Proof‐of‐Concepts (POCs) that showcase real‐time grid capabilities.
  • Translate customer operational needs into clear technical configurations and solution architectures.

ADMS / Real‐Time Grid Software Expertise

  • Hands‐on experience configuring or deploying modules such as FLISR, VVO, OMS, load flow, switching, or similar Electric Utility distribution‐operations applications.
  • Ability to read and/or customize and software functionality; the ability to workflows using Python, SQL, shell, C#, or similar scripting tools is a plus.
  • Troubleshoot issues across data flows, communications, SCADA/telemetry inputs, and application logic.

Training, Documentation & Customer Enablement

  • Train utility operators, engineers, and analysts on real‐time grid applications.
  • Create or contribute to user guides, runbooks, configuration documentation, and operational workflows.

Cross‐Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Software Engineering, Product, Sales, and Electrical Engineering teams to relay customer insights and influence product improvements.
  • Support Sales Engineering with technical content, solution narratives, and customer‐specific configuration guidance.

Background Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years working with real‐time electric‐utility software (ADMS, DMS, OMS, SCADA, or grid‐operations platforms).
  • Strong understanding of electric distribution networks, switching operations, and utility operational workflows.
  • Ability to travel ~20% when not working remotely.
